Do you pay much attention to what others think of you?
parental verbal and physical abuse.
Lots of spiritual and psychological growth and life experience - now at 60, I am aware of what others think, but almost never does that change the way I am or what I say.
Fairness is huge for me - a libra moon and rising , and a life focus which includes human rights. I would rather be fired than not report abuse or kiss ass - so I function as a protector/advocate for myself and others. Just emerged from a hospital experience of tremendous violatons of patients' rights. One nurse secretly thanked me for
reporting the violations - she said most had not. I know the issues and the system, so for me it is easy. Initially, was not so easy. I remember sitting on my opinions out of fear of rejection. My reference point then was other human beings only. Now, I report to my Higher Self, the Divine, and my standards and integrity - the highest truth, light, love, wisdom, humor. Every time now I receive a negatve experence or opinon, it is followed up by an incredible postive experience. I care about my personal treatment as well as that of others who do not have a voice. Some who inspire me: Ralph Nader, Mother Teresa, Martin Luther King,Wangari Mathai, Marianne Wlliamson, Arundhati Roy, John Perkins, Lynn Twist, Hopi, Huichol, Bear Heart, Rolling Thunder, Carl Jung, Dalai Lama, Muhammad Yunus, Ashoka, Kiva, Barack Obama, Oprah, Guadalupe, Christ, All Religions of Compassion, Peace, Love, Forgiveness, Quan Yin, Earth Justice, Amnesty International, CARF, Afroreggae, War Dance, Amma.
